For a class we had to create our own project that interests us. My instructions were:
Find an object you will be able to draw realistically fairly well. Take that object and draw it eight times. As you draw this object, slowly bring it from realistic, to semi-realistic to decorative to symbolic to abstract. This will help you understand the simplicity of graphics and the thinking process that comes along with designing a logo for a certain brand.
